PAINCANVAS is a collection of tracks I was playing live during the frenzy of early 2019. I was pushing the limits of what I thought I could get away with and really trying to find new realms on Fruity. I got back into the vision I had in high school with sound collaging since I had been playing in a free jazz group and was seeing how I could make my own brand of noise. if you saw me during this time, a lot of this stuff you heard while I also played drums. Though I went back n forth on recording drums to some of the specific tracks I played on, I thought it best to leave the production to be seen rather than the energy that the rums brought. I think it all stands alone well on its own. There's hella twists and turns on this album, and really it doesn't compare to any prior releases cuz I was just saying fuck it and doin what I wanted to do. its less a stress on the production chops and more on vibe, energy, and world building. glad to finally put this up and let y'all in on that snippet of time
